CYNTHIA LANGFORD

Artist Biography:

 

Cynthia was born and raised in Ontario and now makes her home in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

 

Her work has been described as “painting life “ as she captures moments and memories  from her travels and adventures. She is a self taught artist who continues to grow and develop a style of her own and explore different subject matters and styles.

 

On a trip to Italy in 2011, she first experienced plein air and learned to appreciate the passion of landscape artists and to devour the elements and embrace the experiences to re-create and bring them back to life in her home studio . Her many inspirations have come from Greece, Italy, Ireland, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, kayaking, biking, hiking and of course beautiful British Columbia and the Shuswap region where she lives. 

 

Her work has been included in several exhibitions at the Federation Gallery, International On-Line Exhibitions, International Rotary Magazine , Local art shows. Her work is represented in  The Enderby Courtyard Gallery and The Maple Tree Medical Clinic in Salmon Arm. She has completed several commission paintings for collectors in British Columbia . Cynthia is an Active Member with the Federation of Canadian Artists and an Associate Member with The Society of Canadian Artists.
